Kids, join us for the Summer Reading Program - Unearth a Story.  Stop by the library to register for this fun (and free) program.  The program is open to children of all ages from babies to teenagers!  When you register, you will receive an activity book and a calendar with all the activities for your age group.  Some of the programs planned this summer include, the Bugman, Ron Spangler Magic Show, meet live dinosaur descendants from Ohio Nature Education, movies, and Let's be a Paleontologist.  

 

Upcoming Programs

Music, Mayhem, and Fun with Fresh Mountain Spring (Main) - Monday, June 8th 6:00pm

Two “Old Hippies” from Urbana College will recall tunes from several decades, mix in several original songs, and reflect on 50+ years of friendship. Light refreshments will be served. This event will be held in the meeting room at the Main Library: 1060 Scioto Street Urbana, Ohio 43078.

You Can't Get There By Sitting Here: Hiking the Appalachian Trail (Main) - Tuesday, June 9th 6:00pm 

Join us for the entertaining and deeply personal account of Chuck and Norma Sink, a normal couple, who set out to fulfill a lifetime dream: hiking the Appalachian Trail. Light refreshments will be served. This event will be held in the meeting room at the Main Library: 1060 Scioto Street Urbana, Ohio 43078.

Family Storytime (Main) - Monday, June 15th 6:00pm 

Kids of all ages are invited to join us for a Family Storytime filled with stories, music and a fun art project! Please register each child in attendance, adults need not register. 

Book Talk (Main) - Tuesday, June 16th 7:00pm

Join us for an in-person discussion of The Amalfi Curse by Sarah Penner. 

Silent Book Club (Main) - Tuesday, June 30th 6:30pm 

Join us for uninterrupted reading time and a fun discussion of what people are reading. Light refreshments are served.

Between the Lines

Adults, remember to turn in entries for your own reading club - Let Freedom Read!  Read five books, turn in an entry and you could win a $100 Kroger Gift Card.  Entries will be accepted through December 19th.  

Fair Banners - if you are planning on making banners for the Champaign County Fair in the Imagine Lab, make sure to schedule your appointment early.  If you have questions, stop by the lab or send an email to imagine@champaigncountylibrary.org.
