Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio, our library will be offering free ukulele lessons this summer as part of the Libraries Rock 2018 Summer Reading Club!
With the help of the grant we have purchased ukuleles for kids and teens to use for these lessons throughout June and July, as well as books, and the lessons themselves from a local ukulele player.
The four-week long lesson sessions are geared toward 2nd to 5th graders and 6th to 12th graders and take place on Friday mornings at the Main Library.
For more information, or to sign up for lessons, contact the library!
After the summer, the ukuleles and lesson books will be available for circulation with a library card.
