Join us for popcorn and a special preview of part of "Chasing the Moon," a new six-hour documentary series
about the space race, from its earliest beginnings to the monumental achievement
of the first lunar landing in 1969 and beyond, which will premiere
on July 8th, 9th and 10th at 9:00 pm on ThinkTV 16 in Dayton.
“Chasing the Moon” will have an encore broadcast on Tuesdays, July 16, 23 and 30,
from 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET, and a marathon broadcast on Saturday, July 20, 2:00-8:00 p.m.

We'll be watching an excerpt from “Part Three: Magnificent Desolation.” It takes a look back at
the tension and excitement surrounding the launch of Apollo 11 on July 16, 1969, all the way up
until the lunar module finally lands on the moon.

This free screening is part of partnership between the Champaign County Library,
American Experience, and PBS ThinkTV 16 in Dayton.
